OVERSTONE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN: REGULATION 14

REGULATION 14 PRE-SUBMISSION PUBLIC CONSULTATION

Overstone Parish Council has decided to produce a neighbourhood plan for the parish to help guide development in the area.

Regulation 14 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 requires that before submitting the plan to Daventry District Council, Overstone Parish Council must publish a 'pre-submission plan' for consultation.

The Overstone Neighbourhood Plan contains 'policies' and if supported by a Referendum of Residents' later in the process, it will form part of the development plan, which means that applicants and both Parish and District Council decision-makers must take these policies into account when a planning application for development in the neighbourhood area is submitted.

A copy of the draft Plan can be found attached or on our village website at:

https://www.overstone-pc.gov.uk/neighbourhood-development-plan.html along with other documents relating to the Plan's development.

Owing to the Coronavirus pandemic and the Government's restrictions on social distancing and related matters, the Parish Council is unable to hold an Open Day in the Village Hall for Overstone parishioners to attend and view the Neighbourhood Plan as anticipated, under Regulation 14, Town and Country Planning, England Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulation 2012. However, in accordance with updated Planning Practice Guidance in relation to Covid-19 (as issued by the Government on 13th May 2020) the Parish Council is making available upon request, a full copy of the NDP by contacting Steve Betts on 07973 228516 or by emailing overstonendp@gmail.com

The pre-submission consultation period runs for six weeks commencing Monday 19th October 2020. Representations/comments can be made by completing the attached comments form and emailing to Steve Betts at overstonendp@gmail.com or by post to Steve Betts, 45 Sywell Rd, Overstone, Northampton NN6 0AG.

An on-line response form is available via this link:

The closing date for comments is Midday on Tuesday 1st December 2020

Kind Regards,
