Highways have rescheduled the installation of the Chicane on Sywell Road for the 25th October 2021, weather permitting.

Following Public Consultation Pilgrim/Rothstone have considered the feedback received so far and made some amendments to the proposals including reconfiguring the petrol station, much reducing the overall footprint of this element of the plans.

Highways are installing a Chicane on Sywell Road, Overstone, on the stretch of road between the Village Hall and Sywell Village.

The work is due to commence on the 4th of October 2021 and should take approximately 10 days.

Anglian Water started the work installing 6km of new water pipes along the A43 in May. This work necessitated the closure of both public footpaths leading from the village to the A43

KierWSP in partnership with Northamptonshire Highways have been commissioned to carry out a priority working traffic calming scheme on Sywell Road in Overstone. The work involves installing kerbed build out islands, road signs and revised road markings.
